About Our Curriculum Developer

JLMP’s founder, Michelle Person, has been an educator for over 20 years. She is a former Teach For America corps member, an intervention specialist, a principal, educational consultant, a children’s author, a speaker, and a mom. This curriculum was developed in alignment of the Social Studies standards from NCSS. We teach history, geography, economics, and civics through an empowering culturally responsive lens that celebrates diversity and encourages entrepreneurship.

How much time will it take?

Lessons are designed to be done in about 15 minutes.
